Yoga


Yoga is a form of exercise that focuses on a sequence of movements and postures called asanas. Optimal yoga practice improves flexibility, strength and body awareness. Other benefits of yoga include improvements in circulation, blood pressure, bone density and lung function. Yoga asanas when combined with breathing techniques encourage quietening of the mind promoting relaxation.

 

One of our experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapists, Ann, leads the yoga session providing detailed insight and correction of your yoga practice. Our classes have been designed to be small, enabling individual guidance for safer and optimal practice.

 

With Ann’s extensive experience she will be able to introduce you to the yoga asanas and incorporate other movement strategies to help you enjoy the benefits of yoga. Close communication of your specific requirements will occur between your physiotherapist and Ann.  All equipment and props are provided.
